What is BMP Cost Share?
The South Carolina Forestry Commission Best Management Practice (BMP) cost share program is a program where the US Forest Service has federally funded to improve stream crossing and BMP compliance. The South Carolina Forestry Commission is allowing applications for 2024 funding through October 11, 2023. To be eligible applicants must reside in South Carolina and be certified under the TOP Logger Program. Applicants must also not have any unresolved BMP compliance issues outstanding.

- Approved Cost-share applicants can be reimbursed 80% of total costs to purchase a portable bridge.
- For 2024 funding the application opens on September 20th and closes on October 11th.
- If you do not qualify or are not accepted you may still rent bridges from the South Carolina Forestry Association’s rental program. HERE
