About Morbark
Morbark was founded by Norval Morey in Winn, Michigan in 1957. The company started with a portable sawmill and evolved into one of the world's largest manufacturers of wood processing equipment. If you've ever seen a whole-tree chipper on a logging job, there's a good chance it was a Morbark.
The 4036 whole-tree chipper is probably their most recognized machine. It can handle entire trees and process them into consistent chips for fuel, mulch, or fiber. Morbark also makes the Typhoon and Hurricane series grinders for land clearing and biomass operations.
In 2021, Morbark was acquired by Alamo Group, but the brand and manufacturing remain in Michigan. Their equipment is built for production — these are high-volume machines designed to run all day, every day.
