About Barko
Barko started in Superior, Wisconsin in 1963 and has stayed focused on hydraulic-powered forestry and industrial equipment ever since. They're an independent manufacturer — not owned by a larger conglomerate — which gives them flexibility to respond to what loggers actually need.
Their knuckleboom loaders are where Barko made their name. The 595 series is one of the most common trailer-mounted loaders you'll find at log landings in the Great Lakes and northeastern states. They're also well-represented in the Southeast.
Barko also makes track feller bunchers and mulchers. Their equipment tends to be priced competitively compared to CAT and Deere, which makes them popular with independent contractors.
